Travel Writing Workshop

So you want to be a travel writer?

You love to travel. And you love to write. This workshop will focus on how to combine these passions and translate your experiences into publishable stories.

Through both lecture and writing exercises, we’ll develop story ideas, consider outlets and styles of travel writing, and discuss methods for breaking into the field with an emphasis on crafting a compelling opening paragraph and writing an attention-grabbing query letter.

Necee Regis is a frequent contributor to the travel and food sections of The Boston Globe and The Washington Post. Her writing has also been featured in the Los Angeles Times, American Way Magazine, Spirit Magazine, The Globe and Mail, and the literary journal, Tin House. Her subjects are travel, food, and everything around the edges of these topics.
