Travel Writing Workshop
So you want to be a travel writer?
You love to travel. And you love to write. This workshop will focus on how to combine these passions and develop the basic skills of a travel writer, including how to translate what is seen, heard, tasted, touched, smelled and felt into publishable stories.
Through both lecture and writing exercises, we’ll develop story ideas, consider outlets and styles of travel writing, debunk myths, and discuss methods for breaking into the field.
Necee Regis is a frequent contributor to the travel and food sections of The Boston Globe and The Washington Post. Her writing has also been featured in the Los Angeles Times, American Way Magazine, Spirit Magazine, The Globe and Mail, and the literary journal, Tin House. Her subjects are food and travel, and everything around the edges of these topics.
Necee blogs at Beyond the Margins.
